My first impression of nv58uk8p7nbutfu was mixed, but sixty days of daily use has converted me. The search history is stored locally and doesn't appear to be sent anywhere based on network logs. The daily utility outweighs the friction — I'm staying until something better appears.

Installed nv58uk8p7nbutfu on a three-year-old flagship — daily use is smooth enough to keep it. The rate-this-app dialog appears on nearly every third launch, which is far too aggressive. I'll update this review when the permissions issue is addressed in a future patch.
